working to a specification made my life in some ways much easier and in otherways made me want to kill myself. it was like having a rush of creativity and not being able to grab hold of it until you have finished meeting the specifications. by which point youve forgotten what you wanted to do anyway. but in otherways working to a specification made me work harder and be more specific to individual points. obviously not all the points of the specification were made as i disagreed with many of the things i was asked to do. and if i disagree im not about to do it anyway if it isnt going to improve the photograph. for instance straightening of her nose and things like this i actually believe decreased the personality and character of the photographs. but she wouldnt realise this as she was looking at what she wanted and not what she saw.

everyone is always critical of work they have produced. in my position i believe sometimes i am over critical, but that is how you push yourself to get better. i look at these pictures of my girlfriend often, and they just werent good enough for me to be happy with, so ive had another go at editting this particular photograph.
